Anyway, two weeks ago, me and my cousin visited Belgium for the Metal Female Voices Festival in Wieze. I wanted to go to this festival since the moment I discovered it, back in 2007, but back then my parents thought me too young to go there. But this year, it finally happened!!! :)
Compared to last year, the line up wasn't as good, but it was still awesome. I got to see the Eve's Apple show on Friday, for which I was really excited. I finally got to hear Lisa Middelhauve sing live again. It was very nice! :) On Saturday we saw Crysalys, Amberian Dawn and Delain. I was totally blown away by Ciara from Crysalys. People say Tarja Turunen is the best operatic metal singer, but it's definitely Ciara. She is smaller than me (and I'm already teeny, so yeah...) and her voice is so powerfull!!! I got some stuff signed and also took pictures with some lovely singers, so I was super happy. On the final day I got to see Trillium, Xandria, and Epica. Three of my favorite singers on one day... My, my... It was awesome.
Next year, I definitely want to go again, but then we'll try and get VIP tickets. You can go backstage then, and of course you can take pictures with everyone! I couldn't get any pics with Delain, Xandria, Trillium, or Epica, since it wasn't allowed during the signing sessions.
During the festival, I dressed up of course! ;)
During the months leading up to the festival, I'd been steadily collecting clothes to wear. I already had two outfits ready, but the third one was quite a challenge. I wanted to do a gothic/ero lolita coord, and it took me some time to find the correct items! Luckily, the lovely girls from Fly Away Fashion provided me with some awesome wristcuffs, and a very pretty headdress!
Here are some pics of my outfits:

The weather was very promising, so I wanted to dress up in a casual lolita outfit. I checked my closet, and realized how lovely my Framed Roses JSK from Bodyline is. It's too bad it's a bit big on me, since the shirring is pretty stretched. (The previous owner told me she had a size S, but from the looks of it, it's more like a size L). I have altered the halter straps, so I can wear it like a normal JSK, and with a cardigan over it, you can't see that it's a bit big on me. I'm planning on having the shirring fixed, but that has to wait for a little while. ^^
We left early in the morning for the two hour drive to the expo. We had bought our tickets online the previous evening, so we didn't have to wait in line at all! We walked around for hours, enjoying various types of gardens, the woods, and the weather. It was really great! We also took a lot of pictures.
This is a picture of me in the Chinese garden:

I had decided on my dress a few weeks ago already. I was just going around in my closet and found this long, purple, strapless dress that I bought in Chicago three years ago. It's very pretty and I've only worn it once. Now twice, hihi. So when I had decided on the dress, I also wanted a nice hairdo.
So, today I went to the hairdresser. They made me something awesome! I really like what they did with my hair, and since it's, hopefully, fairly easy to re-create, I hope to wear my hair like this with a classic lolita coord soon! :)
When I got home, I did my make-up and put on my dress. I decided on some lilac colored eyeshadow, and one of my favorite lipsticks from Bourjois. It has this 'wet look' to it that I like very much!
Around 3.30 PM we left for my university. The ceremony was a bit boring, hihi. I got called to the front pretty early in the ceremony, so I had to wait a while for it to finish. Afterwards my boyfriend's mother gave me this really cute bouquet of pink roses and callas! We had a drink after the ceremony and afterwards we went home for some dinner.
I'm really happy with my diploma! No more stress! ;)
Here's a pic of my hairdo and make-up:

Last Friday and Saturday I felt like dressing up, and decided to go in Lolita! I bought a Milky-chan the Fawn replica skirt in Paris, and wanted to wear it with the socks I had bought earlier in April. So in the evening, I dressed up in it, with my AnnaHouse camisole top. I had some trouble with my hair, as my fringe was getting too long for me to style it, so this was my first coord with my hair pulled up. I just stuffed a hair flower from the H&M into it, but other than that... well... lt's safe to say my hair sucked, lol. Luckily, you can't see it on the picture! XD

On Saturday, I dressed up again, this time in a country coord with my Heart E JSK. It's a lovely JSK that I bought from a facebook friend, and it's very versatile! I could wear it as a summer dress without petti if I wanted. So, with an awesome hair do by the hair dresser, I hereby present my first country lolita outfit!

We left very early, at 4 A.M. to make sure we'd arrive in the city early. My boyfriend's brother wanted to go on the Eiffel Tower, so we wanted to make sure we had done that before it got too crazy with people out there. We arrived in Paris around 10.30, and after parking the car, we took the metro to the Eiffel Tower.
The last time I had been to Paris, in April, my boyfriend and I only had gone to the second floor of the tower, and this time we wanted to go all the way to the top. We bought tickets for the staircase, since the line for the elevators was enormous. From the second floor we could take the elevator to the top. I'm deadly afraid of heights, so I was pretty scared with climbing the stairs. The elevators were worse, though... hihi... But the view from the top is amazing!
We went down again, and took the metro the the Arc de Triomphe. By then it had gotten so warm, we could barely hold out in the metro. We took some pictures in front of the Arc de Triomphe and then walked down the Champs-Elysées (on the side with the most shade, lol), towards the Jardins de Tuileries and the Louvre. There we sat down and rested with our feet in the fountain. That was pretty nice, hihi! :)
I wanted to check out Black Sugar, Boddywood, and Baby, The Stars Shine Bright, so around 4.30 PM we took the metro to that part of the city. First I wanted to go to Boddywood and Black Sugar, so we went there first. Boddywood was closed, which really dissapointed me because I wanted to see if they still had the cute Milk Cutsew that they had the last time. We then went to Black Sugar. I wanted to buy black platform shoes for the Metal Female Voices Festival, but sadly, they didn't have my size. I was pretty pissed off at the time, because I really wanted those shoes! But, I found that they did have a Milky-chan the Fawn replica skirt. They also had a dress, but I didn't think it was such a great replica, so I settled for the skirt. I also bought two pairs of Secret Shops socks, and then we went to the Baby store. Only to find out it was closed as well!!! I was so dissapointed. :(
But well... I can go another time. Paris isn't so far away! XD
Here are some pictures of our day:

Petit Angel is one of the brands I love. It's a small Dutch brand, which offers unique quality lolita clothes. I learned about it's existence in March, when browsing on the Internet. I visited the website and fell in love with the beautiful clothes. There were a JSK and an OP in the brand's portfolio that I totally wanted, but as each piece is unique, I knew I couldn't get them.
But, oh, I was so lucky. Within two weeks time, the JSK was offered on the Internet, and another two weeks later the OP. I was super happy and bought both. I wore the JSK in Paris, and I will wear the OP to the Fly Away Fasion Tea Party upcoming Sunday. I recently bought a Petit Angel gothic lolita skirt for the Metal Female Voices Festival, making me the proud owner of three unique pieces.
The clothes are beautifully made, and a lot of attention is paid to the details. The dresses fall nicely without a petticoat as well. When looking at the clothes, you can really see that the maker has had an education in fashion and tailoring clothes.
Here is a picture of my items:
Here are some stock photo's of my items:
Roses and Ribbons print shirred JSK
I could wear the JSK as a normal summer dress if I wanted. The ribbons and waist ties can be taken off. The bodice is fully shirred, and it can be laced up in the back.
Summer White OP:
The OP has some butterfly embroidery applications that I really like, but sadly I don't have the strawberry clips that are shown on the picture. It has some shirring in the back, and it can be laced up as well. The fabric is light, making it ideal for summer! :)
Gothic Crown embroidery bustle skirt:
This bustle skirt has crown embroidery applications, and it's made of thick black cotton. When wearing it, it feels quite heavy, so it's good for winter, I think. I like the lace details around the skirt very much. The skirt can be laced up in the back.
